Progress pic 🕜! I've lost 26 lbs in the last ye Progress pic 🕜! I've lost 26 lbs in the last year! 〰️〰️〰️ How'd I do it??? 🤔 〰️〰️〰️ I did this by eating less (cutting the majority of my portions in half) and working out 6 days a week with the amazing @tim_wut (started in May 2020) 〰️〰️〰️ That is really it. No diet or sacrificing the things I enjoy...like ice cream and cocktails. 🍦🍸I eat out 2-3 times a week, and cook the majority of my meals. 〰️〰️〰️ Gonna be bummed when the gyms reopen bc that's when Tim heads back to his in-person fitness community. Buuuuut super thankful I learned a new way of staying fit. 〰️〰️〰️ I've learned so many routines and techniques that I can blend to create my home workouts. I'll be sharing them on IG to keep myself accountable. Feel free to use my workouts! 〰️〰️〰️ I used to do yoga 100% of the time. Now I'll be adding strength training to my routine as I continue my fitness journey. 🙏🏋🏽‍♀️ It's so important to have that balance of yin and yang in everything you do.☯️ 〰️〰️〰️ Also adding protein supps (protein helps you lose weight), pre-work out, intermittent fasting, and skating into the mix. I was not doing this prior. 〰️〰️〰️ Next progress post, I hope to be down to 130 lbs and showing you some abs. 😜 〰️〰️〰️ While my goal appears numerical, it's really emotional for me. I felt and looked my best in 2013 @ 130 lbs (hot yoga only white eating whatever I wanted) and would love to revisit that benchmark. Rice rice baby! Here's my spam musubi recipe. 😋 Rice rice baby! Here's my spam musubi recipe. 😋 〰️〰️〰️ Ingredients: 1 can spam 2 cups rice 2 cups water 5 tbs soy sauce 3 tbs oyster sauce (can use hoisin sauce if avail) 2 tbs sugar Seaweed paper aka nori (4 sheets cut in half lengthwise) 〰️〰️〰️ Instructions: 1. Wash rice under running water two times. 2. In a pot, take rice and 2 cups water to boil them simmer on medium heat for 20 mins. Rice should be fluffy and water is gone. 3. Fluff rice with fork and let cool. 4. Mix sauces and sugar with a spoon. Make sure sugar dissolves completely. 5. Slice spam into 8 x 1/4" slices and marinate in sauce for 5 mins. 6. Heat pan to medium and cook slices if spam for 2 mins each side. 7. Layer rice into empty spam can with a spoon and press it down. Rice will be about 1" tall. Can be taller. 8. Place slice of spam on top of rice in can. 9. Flip spam and rice onto sheet of seaweed paper/nori. Tap the can with your hand so that the rice and spam fall into the nori. 10. Roll and let it bind to rice. Should take abt 15 seconds. Then serve!
