What is Altar Ego?

Altar Ego Apparel creates activewear for both men and women. I recently purchased some Alter Ego leggings. I decided on the Breathe Laser Cut legs in Jade because I love the shade of green. It’s more of a deep jade color and has tiny specks of dark gray throughout. The fabric is shimmery and they look amazing on! The print reminds me of lululemon and Zella’s space dye prints. #1 Size: I am a size 6 in Lululemon and ended up getting a size small in Altar Ego after reviewing their size chart. It fit perfectly. I found the breathe laser pant to be very stretchy with the possibility of fitting a size 8. I would consider Altar Ego to run true to size (TTS). I also have the hamsa leggings and they are backed in white and are not as stretchy as the breathe laser pants.

Altar Ego Size Guide (unstretched) in Inches

  XS S M L XL
Waist 22 24 27 30 32
USA Size 0-2 4-6 8-10 12-14 16

#2 Style:  Altar Ego makes long leggings and shorts. They also make kids and mens clothing.

#3 Inseam:  The length from the crotch to the bottom of the pant

#4 Rise: The rise is standard sitting below the navel.

#5 Waistband: The tall waistband (measuring 3.75″) sits at my navel.

#6 Fabric: The pants are made of their “Next to Nothing” Italian fabric. The fabric is made of 87% Nylon, 13% Spandex and stretch to your body and form. The fabric is thin and quick drying, making them great for any sport! The fabric is very non-compressive yet hugs the body. I wore them to yoga, cross-fit, and while running. I also found them super attractive with just a denim chambray top under a black bomber jacket. The fabric is VERY soft and it feels like I’m not wearing any bottoms at all (practically Liquido-like). The fabric is not backed in white and definitely NOT OPAQUE. I also tried their Hamsa Leggings which are white backed and are also opaque but not as stretchy.

#7 When to Wear: They’re advertised as “warm weather” leggings, so I definitely wouldn’t wear these during colder seasons in Seattle. I find them great for hot yoga classes.

#8 Cost: Fashion forward without breaking the bank. Will also provide discounts when available.

#9 Gusset: Double layered triangle gusset.

#10 Stitch Seam: The leggings are made with flat seams.

#11 Care: Wash these on delicate and hang dry.

#12 UPF Protection: Maximum value of UPF 50+ making it perfect for outdoor activities.

#13 Made in Boston, Massachusetts, USA #AmericaIsAlreadyGreat

[…] Leggings are made of high quality microfiber yarn that is breatheable, quick drying and comfortable. Fabric is unique and would be most similar to MyMantra and Altar Ego. […]
