I know many people despise the fit of the lululemon Savasana Waterproof Jacket so my review is purely focusing on the functionality of the jacket, which by far, I’m completely obsessed with.

Yeah, I’m swimming in it. Yeah, it’s not the most flattering and yeah, it costs a pretty penny. BUT, I’ve never been able to stay 100% dry while getting around town. That’s what really matters most to me. And right now it’s on sale! So you bet I’m getting all the colors!!!!!

Went into the store to make some returns and check out their Black Friday deals. Saw the jacket for $199, then decided to check online and saw the jacket was only $139! (PLUS you can get 10% cash back through Ebates)

C’est what?!

At $139 this is an amazing deal!!!!! I knew I would wear it often because it’s always raining in Seattle. I have owned many rain jackets. This one has worked (by far) the best for this umbrella rebel.

I initially purchased the deep green color. I had to size up to an 8 because the shoulders were a bit too tight. Below is my love letter to this magical cape.

Things I love about the Savasana Jacket:

  • The FABRIC: Glyde Waterproof fabric is breathable and the jacket is strategically seam-sealed to keep moisture out.
  • Big hood: I have a horse’s mane on my head. I need a hood big enough to contain all this hair.
  • Deep Pockets: Pockets are plenty and deep with this one. Sometimes when I’m headed out for a coffee run or yoga and don’t want to carry all the things, I just stash the keys and myWalit wallet in the pockets. Perfection!
  • Spacious: love all the room within the jacket. I can wear it over my backpack and/or purse to keep them dry and still have lots of wiggle room.

Combine it with my chunky blanket scarf, knee-high boots, and boom, I’m ready for action. Come at me PNW weather!

I know many people were turned off by the fit that they didn’t even give the jacket a chance in the rain. I’m all for ditching aesthetics when a product does what it’s supposed to do.

A close second contender has been Patagonia’s city storm shell, but the front top loading pockets drive me crazy. I ended up selling it even though it performed well against the rain.

Do you have a rain jacket you’re obsessed about? I would love to check it out!
