About Sand Cloud
Sand Cloud made their mark by offering the perfect beach towel made of Turkish cotton that dries quickly and wicks away sand. In 2017, Sand Cloud creators Bruno Aschidamini, Steven Ford and Brandon Leibel made an appearance on Shark Tank.
They reached a deal with Richard Herjavec, one of the Sharks, and have since then introduced clothing, yoga towels, beanies and backpacks to their offerings. They grew their company from barely breaking evening, to a $7 million dollar company.
Sand Cloud is based out of sunny San Diego, California. Everything they make represents their love for the beach. They’re committed to preserving marine life.
10% of Sand Cloud’s profits are donated to non-profits to aid our oceans and its inhabitants.
Sand Cloud Review: Seaglass Green Leggings
I’ve been wanting to review Sand Cloud leggings for a while. The last time they offered leggings, they sold out within days! I wasn’t going to miss the next round. This time I snagged a pair of their all-purpose seaglass green leggings.
#1 Size: I ordered a size SMALL in Sand Cloud leggings. I wear a size 6 in lululemon for sizing reference. The leggings run big. I recommend going with your true size or even sizing down. The leggings do stretch over time.
#2 Style: Sand Cloud makes leggings, tanks, short and long sleeve shirts, beanies, backpacks and blankets/beach towels.
#3 Inseam: The inseam of the size small leggings are 27″.
#4 Rise: Sand Cloud leggings come with a high-rise fit.
#5 Waistband: The leggings come with a tall waistband. The Sand Cloud logo is printed on the front left hip of the leggings. The Sand Cloud text is embroidered on the back of the waistband. I really love the small details which make the leggings stand out.

Guess what I'm excited about in this photo? No, it's not that I can #forearmstand or my awesome @sand_cloud leggings. I'm excited about how my #greyhair is coming in! Since I ditched dyeing the mane in Nov 2017, I've felt so much better emotionally and physically. I let that stuff go and it made room to let my true self come through. It was scary at first and TBH my grey hair looked TERRIBLE. Regardless of how I looked, I was determined to let me grow into me. The process has been nothing but BEAUTIFUL. I am meant to be fearless, authentic and beautiful. 😍 How are you growing into you? it doesn't have to mean ditching a practice or habit. In what ways are you letting yourself grow into who you are meant to be? Would love to hear it! #greyhair #greyandproud #greyhairdontcare #teamgrey #pinchamayurasana #yoga #yogaeverydamnday Leggings are by @sand_cloud – use code SCHIMIGGYBLOG25 for 25% off your orders. #sandcloud #savethefishes #sandcloudambassador
- Fabric Content: 87% Polyester/13% Spandex blend
- Fabric Feel: The fabric feels very stretchy and soft. I would compare the fabric feel to Scorpio Sol and Z by Zella fabrics.
- Fabric Performance:
- Quick Drying
- Dry Wicking
- 4-Way Stretch
- Not compressive. The fabric has a bit of stretch and does stretch out over time. Sizing down would allow for a more compressive fit.
- Fabric will not pill.
- Opacity: The leggings are not see-through (100% opaque)
- Fabric Features:
- Embroidered text logo in the back of the waistband
- Circular logo screen printed on front left hip
- At the time of this review, the leggings I tested did not have pockets. Now their leggings are made with side pockets!
#7 When to Wear: Sand Cloud creates clothing and products for active, outdoor living.
#8 Cost: The leggings are affordable and cost only $50. Use our link to save $15 off your orders of $50+.
#9 Gusset: AKA the crotch seam (triangle, +, trapezoid). This feature is important in athletic wear as it prevents the crotch from riding up into a wedgie or camel toe (CT) or even worse…popping at the seam!
#10 Stitch Seam: The leggings are made with a flat fell seam for a form fitting and chafe free fit.
#11 UPF Protection: Not disclosed.
#12 Made in China. Designed in San Diego, California USA.
Should I Buy Sand Cloud?
You should buy Sand Cloud!
The quality is great and 10% of their profits go towards preserving marine life. They partner with major organizations that are stewards of the ocean including the Marine Conservation Institute, The Surfrider Foundation, The Pacific Marine Mammal Center, San Diego Coastkeeper, and Hawaii Wildlife Fund.
The leggings themselves are great! I love the fit, color and especially the price point. At only $50 the leggings are super affordable especially when combined with a Sand Cloud $15 discount code.
I highly recommend Sand Cloud based on the quality of their products as well as their commitment to preserving marine life. #savethefishies
